The Canaries are made up of ten islands in total, these are in order of visiting tourists:- Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, La Palma, El Hierro, La Graciosa, (the next two islands are nature reserves so have not tourism) Alegranza and Montana Clara.
Each Island has its own unique character. The vast majority of tourism and property sales takes place on the first four islands in the list above.
There is a section for each island.
The Tenerife property is the largest of all the Canary islands. Most property sale in Tenerife is located in the south of the island. Popular areas in the south west of the island include places like Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas.
After Tenerife comes the Gran Canaria market. The biggest property areas are Playa del Ingles and Maspalomas.
Third in popularity is Lanzarote. Lanzarote has strict building regulations and therefore a very different style and feel. There are three main tourism and property areas, these are Puerto del Carmen, Playa Blanca and Costa Teguise.
Fuerteventura is an up and coming island wth amazing unspoilt beaches. Fuerteventura property is fastest moving in Corralejo and Caleta de Fuste.
